A Review from a Veteran Tournament Player.

Gameplay is important for a fighting game and they made some changes. For example, they toned down Itachi once again by making his j.A and u.A cost some chakra to use. description
It's the first time in Naruto game history that two completely different battle modes are combined into one game. While most gamers are used to the one to one fights, a new battle mode is introduced in this game and it gives you the pleasure of mowing down regiments of opponents in the battle field. Feeling particularly powerful? Feeling you can take on the world? Try this out.

At the end of every stage, you will meet a boss. Deal with him/her in an one to one basis. A total of 35 characters are going to show up in the battle roster. First time in a Naruto game, you can join in a team with a partner and get involved in tag battles. With a pair to control, you can launch an array of combined attacks. Team up with different people and try out their various skills.

Scenes are rendered in 3D and an original story is written for the game. Meet the characters in in their 3D forms fight them and adventure with them.

A good game for somebody who doesn't only care about characters
I think that this game is quite good as long as new characters aren't your only concern. I think that the hurricane clash mode is better than the old story mode because it doesn't just have a picture with the text and then one fight for every mission. the new maze format is fun to actually have to run around and find your enemy then have a fight. So far I have enjoyed this game a lot and I think if you have to choose between EX3 and EX2 then you should get EX3, however if you have EX2 then you probably won't get as much enjoyment out of it because of the 5 character increase. But also they couldn't add many characters because there aren't really any new people in this arc that fight except for Izumo and Kotetsu. Overall this is a pretty good game but I think EX4 will be even better.

A Review from a Veteran Tournament Player.
Gameplay is important for a fighting game and they made some changes. For example, they toned down Itachi once again by making his j.A and u.A cost some chakra to use. The counterhit system is basically the same as the previous EX versions which is good and bad. Some preset combos won’t link on CH which doesn’t make sense. Most combos or preset combos won’t link to a super on CH so matches won’t end in like 2 combos. OTG Combos are still there but now you can KnJ on the ground to prevent some damage. Senzai Ninriki (Crisis Mode) is a new addition to the gameplay. Once your health goes down to a certain point, Senzai Ninriki kicks in. While in Senzai Ninriki, you could have a boosted attribute ability, new access to supers, etc. depending on the character. It gives a player a second chance and attempt to comeback to win a round.

I don't think it's necessary to have a big roster to make this game great. 35 characters in a roster is a lot to me. I'd be surprised if all characters are used in a tournament or casual matches.

EX1 gave a bad reputation to Tomy and Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 took some spotlight from EX3 so I’m not surprised at some of the negative reviews. The game is balanced so far and you can tell that Tomy is making an effort to fix the gameplay (I don’t think adding back the KnJ on the ground is a coincidence.). If you want to up your game or check out some gameplay footage, go to willvolution.com.

    *Sigh*
You guys dissing this game don't get it. This game wasn't meant to be a "Huge Roster" game they spent there time Makeing the RPG mode and the online mode that they took out DAYS before release. This game is a revolution for the Gekitou Ninja Taisen Series. Like the in game cinematics! Their not just little heads and words there is ANIMATION and a RPG mode EX 4 Will be Character game
